This video is a series of extracts taken from 8mm cine film. Exact dates are not known but the CS logo on the School badge suggests that they originate from the late 1940s. The Top Field was just that just that, a field, at the time, pre tarmacing. Look out for Bill Glister in his early days at the School.
We are very fortunate that, in the years prior to the move of the School from the Sheffield Road site to Brookside in 1967, Mr. John (Jerry) North produced a video record of so many aspects of school life. We are also grateful to his son, Peter, for adding the soundtrack and converting it on to tape and DVD.
