OLD CESTREFELDIAN SOCIETY

The Old Cestrefeldian Society seeks to provide means of linking old boys and masters through its Annual Reunion (normally on the last Friday of April) and other occasions. For details of these, please consult the News & Events page of this site.

Membership of the Society is open to all attendees of Chesterfield (Grammar) School in whatever capacity. There is no membership fee.

The Society was formed in 1920 when W Hawksley Edmunds OBE, the then Proprietor of the Derbyshire Times, was installed as the first President. Reunions have taken place annually since apart from in 1941, a short hiatus from 1976 until 1986 when the Society was reconstituted and in 2021 and 2022 due to Covid-19.

For further information about the Society and to be added to the mailing list, please email the Secretary.

Society members have created a charitable Trust to preserve items relating to the School and to provide targeted financial educational assistance to young people in Chesterfield. For further information on this please go to the Old Cestrefeldians' Trust page.
